The LINE MINI app is offered as a bundled solution with about 10 components and functions such as LIFF (LINE Front-end Framework) provided by LINE Developers, message-related functions and LINE official accounts in Japan, Thailand, and Taiwan.
Planning and development for each component are conducted by more than 10 teams in 5 countries, each with their own backlogs, processes, and development cycles. Therefore, presenting a roadmap, scheduling, and managing progress as a LINE MINI app was very difficult.
Also, if we tried to apply the same process and development cycle to all teams, the extent of the impact would be very large, and we would’ve needed enormous coordination and time, making it almost impossible.
In this session, we will share how we achieved consensus building, roadmap creation, scheduling, and progress management as a single product development group behind the “LINE MINI app” while keeping the existing processes and development cycles of each team.
