LINE account transfer is an important feature that allows users to use LINE seamlessly even after changing to a new smartphone. However, it also requires a high level of security to prevent potential attacks such as account takeovers.
This session introduces the following features that we recently released and how we implemented them so that users can easily and securely move LINE accounts and chats.
- Securely logging in to your account on a new smartphone based on biometric authentication on the smartphone currently in use
- Restoring the LINE Letter Sealing key from the server to the new smartphone so that users can read previous chats right after logging in.
