Safety Check was released earlier this year for LINE users. It provides an easy way to report safety status to LINE friends during a disaster like an earthquake. This feature can give users a peace of mind during disasters, especially during situations where there is a power outage or communications are disabled. In this session, we will introduce the server-side design for this system as follows:

Alfredo Osorio works as a server-side software engineer developing and maintaining features for LINE's Home Tab. His main programming language is Java but has also started using Kotlin since joining. Recently, he started to focus on healthy habits such as going keto and intermittent fasting. He also enjoys making kefir by fermenting kefir grains at home.

Zhixin Li works on the Home Tab Server Development Team. Zhixin’s primary areas of focus are feature development, operation, and support for services on LINE's home tab, including content recommendation, service list, and other home tab features. In addition, he contributes to the backend development of the Sticker Shop in the LINE app. His recent work has involved the technologies Armeria, Kotlin, MongoDB, and Vue.js. Zhixin enjoys programming using C and Python.
